Bellota is closing its doors permanently on August . If you haven’t yet, come try their tapas and paella! The space is beautiful and street parking is surprisingly easy.We ordered:- Carrilladas: the braised pork cheek is melt-in-your-mouth tender and pairs perfectly with the manchego polenta and porcini mushrooms. This was the highlight of our meal - /- Bravas: Delicious crisped potato served with chipotle bravas salsa and smoky aioli. Love the contrast between the super crispy exterior and the soft, fluffy interior of the potatoes!- Melon y jamon: the juicy, sweet melon paired with jamón Ibérico was refreshing, though the melon’s juices slightly softened the jamón- Chorizo: simple but good -- sliced chorizo with pan con tomate and flakey sea salt on the side- Gambas: comes with pieces of olive oil poached gulf prawn and orange, garlic, chili, and grilled bread. Prawn tastes freshDefinitely coming back to try their squid ink paella. Don’t miss your chance to visit Bellota!

Bellota is one of the better Spanish restaurants in San Francisco. It is very nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. We made a reservation ahead of time, but they do take walk-in customers. We asked to be seated at the kitchen bar area so we could watch them cook, and we luckily were seated right in front of the paella station! Here's what you should order: Pulpo gallega, $ (. out of stars) - we always order octopus from Spanish restaurants to see how well it's cooked. This might have been our favorite dish of the night. The octopus has a little bit of a kick to it, which we enjoyed. Jamon ibérico, $ (.- stars) - you really can't go wrong with this iconic appetizer of sliced premier ham. Get it with the pan con tomate. It's one of our faves and a must order. Paella, $- depending on which one you order ( out of stars) - they always have on the menu, and some of them rotate given the season. We had one with shrimp and red peppers, and it was pretty good. They gave us an aioli on the side for the rice as well. It's a large portion and we definitely took some home for leftovers. Boquerones, $ ( out of stars) - these are sardines in an olive salsa. We wished there was more flavor in this dish. Churros ( stars) - leave room for dessert. You can never go wrong with churros.Overall, solid Spanish food option for SF. It wasn't too hard to find street parking on Brannan. Bring a small group with you and order a bunch of these dishes.Parking: Not too hard to find parking on Brannan, but it's hit or miss

I had an exceptional dining experience at Bellota Restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a stylish and modern decor that set the tone for a memorable night. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with our server taking the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food - every dish was expertly prepared and presented, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. The highlight was the paella, which was cooked to perfection and full of savory goodness. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the commitment to using high-quality ingredients. Bellota Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves great food and a lively atmosphere. Five stars and I can't wait to go back!
